Daily writing prompts for the third week of December

Writing prompts are a great way for writers of all experience levels to hone and practice their craft. By challenging the way we think or the writing ruts we may have allowed ourselves to fall in, we can open new path ways to wonderful and exciting journeys of the imagination.

The following daily writing prompts have been crafted from three types of creative exercises.
The first story starters are designed for you the writer to not only finish the sentence given but to continue the story until finished.

The second lot of prompts are the writing themes, designed with more freedom then the first, as they are more general in nature allowing for a more varied interpretation which can be used for either poetry or short stories.

The third and as I've said many times my personal favourite are the picture prompts.
Art is a great inspiration as the old saying goes "a picture is worth a thousand words" when using a picture prompt it is up to you the writer to find those words that tell the story of the artwork your using, often taking you far and beyond your own expectations ...

Try some of the daily writing prompts below I truly hope they help inspire your creative journey

Daily writing prompts for the fourth week of March

Be inspired

Choose a writing prompt for each day of the week, be it a story starter, writing theme or my personal favourite the picture prompt. Once you have chosen your creative writing prompt let the idea sit in your mind for an hour or two (if not longer) before sitting down to write. Set yourself a time limit that you will write without editing as you let your inner muse work for you. You may be happily surprised by the results that you can create and even if you are not, there are sure to be gems of ideas that you can return to later for inspiration. Enjoy…

Daily writing prompts for the third week of Febuary

Inspire yourself

writing prompts are a great way to exercise the creative side of our brain, and by using them everyday we are sure to be writing fit in no time, below are the daily writing prompts for the third week of February. One of the reasons I am posting them in week long lists, is to give the writer a chance to absorb the ideas before you sit and write your chosen one for the day. I think if we allow our subconscious to dwell on an idea even if its only for a day, it gives it time to grow before we sit and write, making the whole process easier.

keeping it basic and open this week with the story prompts genres, the writing themes and picture prompts, so please take you time and look over them you may find something that appeals to your inner muse
